Delicious food, friendly service in a quaint restaurant

There aren't that many of these quaint pubs in Münster's city center that haven't changed much for 50 years. I sometimes wonder why we went there so often in the 70s. After all, there was the sheep, the bird, the Frauenstrasse and well, the Kuhviertel too. And then this old German cosiness? Probably because it was always mixed here. Even as a student you didn't feel out of place. My favorite place is still the small table right at the entrance. Food and drinks? Then as now: it's okay. But the bottom line is the atmosphere. And something else. If someone complains that they were told about the mask requirement quite directly: Put yourself in the shoes of restaurateurs. It's just annoying to be constantly confronted with people who obviously still haven't got it after a few months.

The three of us spent an evening here. The service was very friendly and attentive. It took a while after the order, the young woman came to our table and apologized for the waiting time, although I didn't think it was that long. The food tasted really good. My mother was able to get a smaller portion at a discounted price, and swapping French fries for fried potatoes wasn't a problem either. The atmosphere is also very nice. A nice old tavern. Price performance also fits, we felt very comfortable.

Very tasty and fully priced, Maybe a bit noisy and so it was loud from the many guests. But that's kind of part of an old, really cozy restaurant I can only recommend it

Actually nice shop. In Corona times (9/2020) you will be reminded of the mask requirement in a very unfriendly manner. Here rules count more than the guests. No recommendation. very impolite. I wish nice unemployment

Made a city visit to Münster today. Popped in here for dinner spontaneously. Nice, cozy interior, mega-friendly staff and delicious food at reasonable prices. I'll be happy to go back there.

A wonderful experience from a beer at the bar with the local gentry to our last minute request for a table. They were very gracious and promptly brought us English menus. We had the Toddenhoek Schnitzel and to this day I pine for the simplicity and wonder of this meal.

A place to have some traditional German food. The beer was nice. The waitresses were very friendly. The design was like an old farmers house and the decoration was typically German. I definitely recommend to eat there

Lovely atmosphere.

Dropped in here and had their daily special of Schnitzel. It was offered with croquettes but they allowed me to have it with Bratkartoffel instead (they did not have chips but I don't know if this is permanent). The food was good, the restaurant pleasantly quiet, it had an interesting atmosphere (very stereotypical old tavern style), and the service was friendly and quick. I would come back.
